This morning we had our wake-up call at 6:15 am, breakfast at 6:45 and walked to the boat at 7:45. Here is the boat we took out on the Sea Of Galilee. This is the Caesar Hotel where we are currently staying.

The boat ride was fun but the weather was very windy. A few of us got soaked by the waves washing aboard. Because of the heavy wind we had to continue to the other side of the sea an alter our plans some.

Next we went to Capharnaum which was the home of Peter. This is an arial view of the area. A church was built over Peter's home. This is the ruins of a Jewish Synagogue.

This shows how the church was constructed over Peter's home. Next we went to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus gave the sermon on the mount.

This is also where Christ first appeared to Peter after His resurrection. This is typical to the area where Christ would have spoken the sermon.

On then to Belt She'on. This is a town that was destroyed by an earthquake and is being restored. The covered area is the community baths. The mountain in the background is the old testament city with the newer city in the foreground.

Our guide educated us on the history and re-construction of this site. Many of the columns were able to be restored.

Here are the latrines of the day.

Gene is just trying to give you the idea it's 'comfort'. Here is one of the entrance tunnels to the amphitheatre.

This is a very well restored theatre.

Here is a model of the site as it would have been before the destruction.

Moving on we had a number of our members baptized in the Jordan river by Pastor Mike and Pastor Bill. Here are those that got baptized or re-baptized. The water was cold but they all braved it anyway.

Pastor Mike baptizing. Pastor Bill baptizing.

When they were done they had to take a dip themselves.
