We woke up at 4 am and departed at 5 am with a box breakfast to eat on the way. Here we are at the Luxor airport. We arrived in Cairo about 10 am.

Our previous guide, Heshan, helped guide us through the Cairo airport. Here Pastor Bill is bidding him farewell. We boarded the plane to Amman Jordan about noon. It was about a one hour flight.

We acquired a new guide by the name of Naiem. He gave us one more site to see this afternoon. On the way we passed this valley called Jethro's Valley.

Our guide took us to this path along the Jordan River in the area where Jesus was probably baptized. This is a typical baptismal spot on the Jordan river which could have been where Jesus was baptized.

This is believed to be the part of the river where He was baptized by John the Baptist. Many things in the bible point to this as being the bank where John baptized Him.

Here Pastor Bill read about Jesus being baptized from John 3:13 and led us in prayer. This is a reconstruction of a Byzantine church from the 10th century.

The remains of many churches have been found in this area reinforcing the belief that John had baptized in this area. Evidence shows that the Jordan had once flowed by this church. Flooding often caused the Jordan to change it's course.

After supper tonight we all shared our experiences of the last eighteen days in the Holy Land.
